At Nude we use a product called super bonder at the end of your appointment. This cures the glue instantly and means you can go about your day to day without worrying if you get them wet in the first 24 hours! It’s advised that you wash them the night you get them done.
Be gentle with your extensions, don’t rub or pick at them, this will cause damage long term to your natural lashes.
Wash your lashes TWICE a day using an oil free lash cleanse and lash cleansing brush, especially if you have oily skin or wear makeup. If you don’t you will get a buildup of oli, dirt, dead skin cells, makeup and bacteria and will likely develop an infection called Blepharitis (yuck!).
Avoid using anything with fibres that can pull extensions off, such as face wipes, cotton pads and cotton buds. Use a lash cleansing brush to get between lashes, right down to the lash line.
Avoid using oils around your eyes as oil breaks down the glue causing premature shedding.
Use a clean spoolie to brush your lashes through out the day to separate and help them stay looking fresh. Brush them from underneath and from above.
Try not to sleep on your front as extensions can “pop” off natural lashes when bent and squashed.
Avoid using mascara, if you absolutely must, please use OIL FREE mascara. Under NO circumstances should you be using waterproof mascara, extensions or not.
NEVER use a hairdryer to dry lashes, not only is this extremely dangerous to the delicate skin around your eye, and your eyeball but it will straighten out the extensions and you will need to have a removal and full set to get them looking back to how they should.
Careful with lighters as they can melt lashes together and straighten them out, you will need a removal and full set.
